We need to find sweet Maddie a home, she has been waiting for her fur-ever home for awhile. Right now, Maddie is under the care of CARE Southcoast and she would do great in a busy home with other dogs and kids. She would also be a great companion to anyone who just wants an extra love in their life.
Maddie is 45 pounds, spayed, and has a fun personality! Check out her photo – any cutie with epic ears is bound to be a fun furry friend! She is the perfect size to be a couch buddy or a playful pal.
It can be confidently said that Maddie can seamlessly transition to her new home as she is potty trained and is up-to-date on vaccinations.
Check out Maddie’s cuteness and make her your new family member!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Mission Statement:
CARE Southcoast is a volunteer-run, no-kill, 501c3 animal rescue/shelter servicing the Southcoast region of Massachusetts. All our dogs are in foster care, while cats can be visited at our shelter in Acushnet, MA. We also keep most kittens and some special needs cats in foster care. We focus our efforts on pets that wouldn’t do well in traditional shelters. Our mission extends to the Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) of feral cats, training of dogs with behavioral challenges, and education to avoid rehoming of owned animals.
What makes CARE unique is that our volunteers take in older animals, sick animals, and animals with behavioral issues that would not make it in a traditional shelter. CARE caters to the population of animals that others find not worthy of life. CARE sees the diamonds in the rough, the tail wags beneath the sad eyes, and rehabs the animals back to being happy, healthy, confident family pets who bring so much joy to their families.
Along with our sheltering and adoption programs, CARE provides basic medical support to these same animals along with helping feral cats and low income folks who would not otherwise be able to keep their pets. In cases where people have found themselves temporarily homeless, we have provided shelter for their pets until they have been reunited with their owners. Most of these pets would have ended up on the streets or euthanized. Imagine losing your furry family member as well as your home!
On behalf of the homeless pets we have saved and continue to save, please accept our heartfelt gratitude and thanks.
We hope you will support our mission of not giving up on any animal no matter how hopeless their situation may be. We are their voice when no one else is there.
Needs:
FOSTER HOMES are always needed for homeless pets that come into our program. This is a great way to help if you are unable to make a lifetime commitment to a pet.
SUPPLIES are always in demand: scoopable litter, dry and wet cat and dog food, towels, paper towels, bedding, laundry detergent, PetAg Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR) powder. Please contact us about how to donate supplies.
MONETARY DONATIONS to help cover medical bills and the cost of care for our shelter and foster animals are what we need most.
