State Rep. Bruce Ayers of Quincy is refiling several bills that would work to regulate drones in Massachusetts.
The second bill would put more teeth into regulations.
Ayers says he is hearing concerns from constituents about their privacy and safety, especially after recent drone sightings in the area, including the recent arrests of two men flying drones in the area of Boston Harbor by the airport.
Boston Police say 32-year-old Jeremy Folcik of Bridgewater and 42-year-old Robert Duffy of Charlestown face charges in connection with flying drones in “hazardous air space.”
Ayers is also encouraging anyone who would like to share a story or testimony about the need for more drone regulation to reach out to his office at 617-722-2220 or Bruce.Ayers@mahouse.gov.
