A Duxbury man is facing charges after a police chase.
Duxbury Police say that at around 5 p.m. Tuesday they saw a Toyota Celica driving on Parks St. with an expired inspection sticker.
It was also determined that the owner had a suspended license due to an “immediate threat.”
Officers attempted to make vehicle stop, however the driver begin driving recklessly at a high rate of speed and the pursuit was terminated for safety reasons.
The driver was later identified as 29-year-old Matthew Paulson and officers went to his home where they saw his vehicle heading towards the residence.
They initiated a vehicle stop and Paulson was taken into custody without incident.
Police say Paulson told officers he didn’t stop because his license was suspended.
Paulson is being charged with Failing to stop for police; Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license; Reckless operation of a motor vehicle; and Fail to stay in marked lanes.
