**Brockton Police say that upon further investigation it does not appear there was an actual kidnapping attempt, no further information is available at this time.**

Earlier reports from Brockton Police say an elementary student reported an attempted kidnapping while she was walking through the woods by Davis Commons after school on Tuesday, saying someone tried to grab her book bag, but the student was able to escape.
