Let’s give a roll call for our Pet of the Week “Rollie” from Standish Humane Society!
Rollie is an independent superstar who wants to be able to roam outside and come back to snuggle with you! This 4-year old kitty is the perfect cat for someone who wants space and can give space, but also needing a companion at the end of the day. He is super handsome, loves food, and is a big fan of rubbing up against your legs.
There have been times when Rollie has lashed out while in the shelter, but Standish Humane Society just attributes this to him wanting some fresh air but having to stay inside all the time. The shelter has seen this often with cats and predicts he will be the perfect gentleman once he can stretch his legs and have a cozy spot to call home.
Consider this little orange king to be your next pet and give him a home! He is neutered and here is what the shelter had to say about him:
Rollie is extremely confident, not shy, loves to be with people and we think he will do just fine with a larger dog. He will come right into your lap immediately no matter who you are, rubs all over you, but then will get overstimulated and put his mouth or claws into your leg when you try to leave him. He needs a very cat savvy home that can see if he blossoms once allowed to have more space.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
When we have received the application, the adoption process will then proceed with a phone interview with an Adoption Counselor who will explain the adoption process including relevant adoption fees. Once your application is approved, a volunteer from the Adoption Team will contact you and work diligently to schedule a tour of our facility.
Our Adoption Team is made up of volunteers who are not at the shelter full time, but we try our best to schedule appointments at the potential adopters’ convenience.
Adoption Fees * (discount $5 off fee if paying with cash or check)
Kittens (under 1 year of age): $275 for one, $395 for two
Adult cats 1 – 7 years old: $175 / $275 for two
Senior Cats 8 years +: $105
*Special Breeds fees are determined individually
Adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, combo test, dewormer and flea treatment
