Carver has a new planning board member.

Curtis Lake beat challenger Allen Maynard by 49 votes to win a five-year seat in Saturday’s annual town election.

Lake received 136 votes and Maynard 87.

All the other races were uncontested.

Incumbent selectboard member John Cotter Jr. received 186 votes; incumbent school committee members Kelley Niemi 161, and Kathleen Sullivan, 163.

Town Clerk Cara Dahill received 226 ballots; library trustees, Janet O’Connor, 177, and Margaret Wood, 186; board of assessors, Michael Paduch, 195, and board of health, Barry Callis, 197.

David Moranville won a seat on the redevelopment authority with 159 votes; housing authority, Ellen Sordillo, 183; Kim Shea, one year term on the North Carver water commission, 161, and Eric Mueller, a three-year term on the North Carver water commission, 174.

There were a total of 252 ballots cast in Saturday’s election, a 2.6 percent turnout.
