Massachusetts and the South Shore joined the nationwide Hands Off rally on Saturday protesting the policies of the Trump administration.
Thousands of demonstrators gathered on Boston Common while hundreds rallied at Boston City Hall Plaza where city and local officials spoke.
Marshfield and Plymouth also held rallies.
In Plymouth, about one thousand demonstrated on Coles Hill and along the waterfront.
About 500 gathered in Marshfield along Ocean St.
Congressman Bill Keating joined the rally.
Keating says that real change happens at the community level when people speak up and make tier voices heard.
More protests are being planned for the coming weeks.
