We should really be calling this sweet boy Porter, “Patient Porter” as he has been hanging out at Kingston Animal Control and Shelter for 6 months…and Porter is ONLY 9 months old! If we can do the math, that means Porter has been puppy-ing along with his friends in Kingston, and he is ready to connect with his fur-ever family asap.
Take a look at Porter’s beauty: he has a short-haired, brindle coat that seems to be extremely silky and smooth, and his eyes are bright brown with highlights of chestnut and amber tones.
Porter is still growing into his own, so he has outstanding levels of energy, affection, and playfulness. Porter will be a great companion for those who enjoy getting outside, walking, and running.
Kingston Animal Shelter has been putting Porter through some puppy school so he is potty trained, has all his vaccinations, is neutered, and has been going on special field trips with volunteers outside of the shelter to get some socialization.
Porter will need his new fur-ever family to continue his education, and it is suggested that his new home does not have any cats or small children. If you have a dog already, then a meet and greet session is needed.
Porter is ready to be your pup! Please consider adopting him OR please share this with others who may be interested.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Adopting an animal may be more involved than you expect. The best interest of the animals in our care is our primary concern. Our goal is for these animals to secure a permanent home.
The first step in the process, is completing an adoption application. You can obtain an application 2 ways: in person at the shelter, or you can request an on line application by emailing us at kaco1@comcast.net. Upon submission of the completed application, all information will be verified. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, only those applicants who are approved will be contacted.
