At 8:41, the Norwell Historical Society and the Scituate Historical Society are collaborating on a special event to commemorate Patriots Day, April 21st. In honor of the 250th anniversary of the Battles of Lexington & Concord, a fictional play has been written based on actual historical events that took place in Old Scituate (today’s Norwell and Scituate). Joining us in studio will be the author of the play and President of the Norwell Historical Society, Wendy Bawabe along with Scituate Historical Society Member Jim Glinski. The play “Old Scituate Reacts: Patriots Day, 1775” will be performed at First Parish of Norwell at 11:00 am and then at First Parish of Scituate at 1:30 pm. https://scituatehistoricalsociety.org/event/old-scituate-reacts-patriots-day-1775 https://norwellhistoricalsociety.org/events
