There is a new pup in town… meet Aspen! This southern gentleman arrived at Buddy and Friends Animal Rescue over the weekend and he is looking forward to meeting you!
Aspen is a 1 year old lab mix, weighing around 52 pounds, and is looking for a patient foster or adopter to help him come out of his shell.

Buddy & Friends Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer run organization based in Pembroke, MA. We rely solely on the backbone of our rescue which is fosters and volunteers. We exist to rescue and re-home dogs that would not have a chance otherwise. We are the voice for the voiceless.
We provide support to communities and families through our broad range of programs and services, which include our food drives for low-income families that work directly with local food pantries. We find that most families will feed their pets before feeding themselves.
Our end goal is the same of many other rescues to provide a furever happy home to our animals.

Adoption Process:
- Complete an adoption application!
- Phone Interview.
- Vet Reference (Required) & ALL 3 References are checked. Only 1 family member is allowed. (There are zero exceptions, all 3 must be filled out.)
- Virtual Home Visit
- Meet and Greet (If applicable, are done for approved applicants ONLY)
- Sign adoption contract & pay adoption fee
- MUST BE OVER THE AGE OF 21!!!
When you submit an application for an available dog, you will be considered along with all other applications received for that dog. We understand that you may be a great home, but you may not be the only great home who has applied for a particular dog. We are fortunate that we get such great applicants — so many that it is very difficult to choose. If you are not selected for the dog for which you have applied, we will keep your application on file for 3 months. While we will keep your application on file for 3 months, please continue to keep an eye on our available dogs and let us know if you see one that catches your eye or steals your heart. If you see another dog that you would like to be considered for, please contact us by email at adoptions@buddyandfriendsma.org to let us know of your interest.
Adoption Fee’s are $650.00
Our adoption fee helps to defray the rescue’s boarding and veterinary expenses but does not cover the entire expense we incur for each dog.
This adoption fee covers the following:
- Spay or neuter.
- Heartworm, Lyme, Elrichea, and Anaplasma (4DX) test, where available, on dogs over 6 months.
- Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus (DHLPP) vaccination.
- Preventatives like Hartguard and Nexguard.
- Rabies vaccination (dogs over 16 weeks)
- Microchip
- Fecal check and basic worming, if needed
- Isolation, Transport and health certificate fees.
- Treatment of any other health issue
