Rockland Police say they will be conducting safety training at schools in town.
The training began on Monday at the Phelps School and will continue Tuesday at the Middle and High School complex and Thursday at the Esten School.
They say the public should not be alarmed if they see an increased police presence at these schools.
Classes are not in session and students will not be in the buildings while the training is being undertaken.
