A man was hospitalized after falling over 20 feet from a tree stand Monday afternoon.
Whitman Fire Chief Timothy Clancy says that shortly before 3 p.m. they responded to a 911 call from a 58-year-old man who said he fell from a tree in the woods behind 21 Highland Ave.
Crews arrived on scene and located the man about 150 to 200 feet into thick woods.
He was treated at the scene before being moved out of the woods and taken to a Boston MedFlight helicopter which transported him to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
Clancy says that the “severity of his injuries was not immediately known.”
