Coming off the program’s first ever 13-0 season in 2024, this year’s Scituate football team couldn’t have a higher bar set for them.

While key returners like senior quarterback Jonny Donovan and junior tailback Grayson Foley left the Sailors with a talented foundation, new faces were taking on pronounced roles all over the field.

Thus far, though, the new cast has lived up to the high standard.

Scituate is off to a high-flying 3-0 start, dispatching a trio of quality opponents.

After an opening night victory over Rhode Island power Westerly and a week 2 win in a Division 4 Super Bowl rematch with Duxbury, Norwell rolled into town Friday night.

Despite the best efforts of the Clippers junior signal caller Jack Luccarelli, Scituate won a back and forth affair with a Miller Shea touchdown reception with 15 seconds remaining.

Now 3-0, Scituate heads into the bye week riding a 16 game winning streak, poised to make a run at another Patriot League Fisher Division title.
