Workers Over Billionaires Protest Held In Weymouth

On Labor Day, the intersection of Middle St. and Washington St. in Weymouth teemed with a crowd participating in the “Workers Over Billionaires” protest.

Ed Foley, a retired sheet metal worker and member of the Local 17 union, shared why he and his colleague were protesting.

 

Djuna Perkins, a candidate for Norfolk County District Attorney, explained her position on due process.

 

Nina Davis-Willis, a member of Weymouth’s Democratic Town Committee, the group that organized this event, spoke on the significance of public protests.

 

Protestors were met with cheers and honks from cars passing through the intersection.
