An investigation is underway following a deadly shooting in Rockland.
Police Chief Nicholas Zeoli and Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz say that shortly after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday officers responded to reports of gunshots being heard in the area of 75 Deering Square.
Upon arrival, first responders found a man, later identified as 29-year-old Darnel Andre of Rockland, with multiple gunshot wounds inside a parked motor vehicle.
Andre was transported to South Shore Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Witnesses reported seeing a thin male, dressed all in black, fleeing the scene.
Officials say this appears to be a targeted attack on the victim and not a random act of violence.
