Brockton, Weymouth, Quincy, Braintree, Randolph, and Milton are among Bay State communities holding elections today.
In Brockton, Moises Rodrigues and Jean Bradley Derenoncourt are vying to become the city’s next mayor.
There are also several councilor and school committee races.
Weymouth voters will be electing its fourth mayor.
Longtime town councilor Michael Molisse, who has been serving as interim mayor since Bob Hedlund stepped down, is running unopposed for the mayor’s office.
There are two councilor races in District one and District two.
Incumbents in the other four districts are running unopposed.
There are six candidates for three open school committee seats while there are five open councilor at large seats.
Three incumbents are seeking reelection.
In Braintree, there are three open seats for councilor at large with one incumbent seeking reelection.
Other contested races include district one councilor, school committee, electric light board. and housing authority.
There are two candidates seeking a vacant seat on the Milton select board.
In Quincy, there are six candidates including two incumbents seeking three seats for councilor-at-large.
There are city councilor races in Wards, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Six candidates are vying for three seats on the school committee.
In Randolph, there are town councilor contests in Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4.
There are also races for councilor-at-large, school committee, and trustees of the Stetson Fund.
