The South Shore will be celebrating Thanksgiving Day with various events.
The 11th annual Marshfield Boys and Girls Club Turkey Trot kicks off at 7:30 a.m. at the South River School.
In Plymouth, the annual Pilgrim Progress, the reenactment of the Pilgrims’ Sabbath procession, will begin at 10 a.m. at the Mayflower Society House on Winslow Street, just off of North Street in downtown Plymouth.
Costumed participants representing survivors of the winter of 1621, assemble to the beat of a drum, proceed down North Street, along the Waterfront to Burial Hill. The march continues through town on Main Street, ending at the Mayflower Society House through North Street.
The annual National Day of Mourning will take place at noon on Cole’s Hill in Plymouth. The event will feature marches and rallies.
The 9th annual Running of the Pilgrims road is at 7:30 a.m. and begins at Plymouth Rock on Water Street.
The Hingham High School 5 K Turkey Trot begins at 7:30 tomorrow morning (Thursday) at Hingham High School.
The 33rd annual Weymouth Dreamcatcher Classic Road Race kicks off at 7:30 a.m. at Weymouth High School.
Hanover’s 5 K Turkey Trot will be held at the Hanover Middle School on Whiting Street at 7:30 a.m.
The Cohasset 17th annual Thanks For Giving Race is at 7:30 a.m. and begins near town hall.
The annual Braintree High School 5 K race gets underway at 7:30 a.m. at Braintree High School.
