On a frigid Thursday night at Gillette Stadium, all of the ills of a disappointing finish to the 2024 season were washed away by the Cohasset Skippers.
Redemption came in the form of a familiar foe, the Amesbury Redhawks, who had ended the Skippers 2023 season in the Final Four.
This year, Cohasset would not be denied. The group of senior leaders who had played key roles in each of those prior two runs paved the way to the Skippers third ever state championship, their first since 2021.
A ground-pounding final saw Cohasset churn out touchdowns from Michael Wildfire (2) and Gus Greene en route to a 22-14 victory.
