Fire Damages Duxbury Home

Several people were displace in a three-alarm fire in Duxbury.

The fire was reported at about 1:30 Monday afternoon at 50 Bay Farm Road.

Duxbury Fire Captain Keith Nette tells WATD news that a call was received for smoke coming from the large, three-unit residential home.

Firefighters found a fire in the attic and were able to contain the flames there within an hour.

Firefighters from several surrounding communities assisted Duxbury at the scene.

There were no injuries.

The state fire marshal is assisting Duxbury officials investigating what caused the blaze.
