A Quincy man is facing charges after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death.

Thirty-four-year-old Guiovani Garcia Chagollan was ordered held without bail yesterday (Monday) after pleading not guilty to first degree murder  at his arraignment in his bed at Boston Medical Center.

He is accused of fatally stabbing 26-year-old Ahtziri Cardenas-Torreros at an apartment at 500 Falls Boulevard in Quincy.

Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey says police received a call around eleven Saturday night reporting someone was in an apartment harming himself with a knife and another person possibly dead.

Officers found Cardenas-Torreros deceased and Garcia Chagollan seriously injured.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment of stab wounds.

The case has been continued to January 14th for a hearing.
