Brian Walshe has been found guilty of murdering his wife.
A Norfolk Superior Court jury handed down the verdict Monday morning after deliberating just six hours Friday afternoon and Monday morning.
Authorities say that Walshe killed his wife, Ana Walshe, in their Cohasset home on New Years Day 2023. He is also accused of dismembering her body and disposing of the remains in dumpsters throughout the area.
Her body has not been found.
The defense claims that Ana died of natural causes in her sleep causing Brian Walshe to panic.
Prosecutors had said that Walshe killed his wife because she was having an affair. She had taken out a life insurance policy for over $2 million and named Brian as sole beneficiary.
Walshe earlier pleaded guilty to misleading police and disposing of her body.
He will be back in court on Wednesday for sentencing and victim impact statements.
