Show Mission Statement: Each week during this engaging and interactive one-hour broadcast, our hosts Steve Nearman and Holly Flanagan will provide commentary and discussion on topics important to our inclusive community.

Steve spent more than three decades using two fingers and a keyboard as a print journalist covering mostly sports for the Washington Post, Washington Times and other media outlets. Now he gets to give his fingers a rest and instead use his mouth on the radio.

A huge Bruins fans as a kid but a hapless failure on two skates, Steve nonetheless enrolled his son Jonathan in a Special Hockey program in 2011 while living in Northern Virginia. Upon moving to the South Shore in 2017 and not finding any inclusive hockey programs here, he founded The Great Blizzards of Massachusetts Special Hockey in 2019 out of the Kingston Bog. He added a second program on Cape Cod out of the Tony Kent Arena in September 2023.

Nearly a century later, he still has not mastered ice skating.

Holly has worked in the travel industry for many years. She has two children through adoption that are neurodivergent.
She volunteers on the Great Blizz parent advisory committee. She also plays hockey for fun.
