John Galluzzo
Walk of the Week
Walk of the Week airs spring through fall Thursdays at 6:56 a.m. John Galluzzo has a deep knowledge of the region and each week he shares his recommendation for a walk through the South Shore.
John Galluzzo has spent his entire life on the South Shore and today uses his knowledge of the area to teach others about its nature and history. His “South Shore Walk of the Week,” running (or walking) at 6:56 every Thursday morning from the spring through the fall, and based on his popular book Half an Hour a Day on Foot: An Obsessive Exploration of the Nature of the South Shore of Boston, is the radio expression of that goal.
John writes a weekly column for the Hull Times and contributes to several other publications on a regular basis. He’s penned, oftentimes with wonderful co-authors, books on numerous South Sore communities.
He’s often heard on The South Shore’s Morning News and occasionally pops in to Ray Brown’s Talkin’ Birds on Sunday mornings.
