From local and national news, sports and weather, to informative interviews with people from across the south shore and the world, The South Shore’s Morning News is the right way to start your day!

The Midday Show with Audrey Constant

10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

 

Listen to Audrey’s friendly and cheerful voice on WATD weekdays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. You’ll hear a blend of music from the 60’s to today, plus local information and interesting tidbits! The WATD news team joins at noon with the midday report, and Chief Meteorologist Rob Gilman keeps us up-to-date with South Shore weather.

Breaking the Ice – Let’s Talk Inclusion 

6:15 – 7:00 p.m.

Show Mission Statement: Each week during this engaging and interactive one-hour broadcast, our hosts Steve Nearman and Holly Flanagan will provide commentary and discussion on topics important to our inclusive community.

Almost Famous with John Shea

Almost Famous showcases local bands, musicians and singers from the New England region with a strong focus on the South Shore, the Cape and Boston. The format is rock, pop with some crossover country/Americana and folk rock mixed in too.

The show targets a wide range of ages with a mission to find the kids who are forming their first bands in high school, the solo artists that sing in the coffee shops and the bands that are pounding the pavement on tour locally and nationally to get their music heard by the masses.

In addition to playing, there are live-in-studio performances, musician interviews and a segment on what musicians are gigging where and when. Also included are interviews of industry gurus to talk about the state of local music past and present.

WATD Nights with John Shea

10 p.m. – 1 a.m.

In 2011, John started Almost FamousWATD’s multi-award winning local music show focusing on new independent bands and musicians from across the South Shore, Boston and New England.

Catch John’s latest show playing all the best songs on the radio Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 10 p.m. – 1 a.m. on 95.9 WATD. Almost Famous airs on WATD, Tuesday nights from 8 – 10 p.m.
