REiMAGINE ROCKLAND wants to celebrate Bulldog Pride weekend with a series of events to build community love in Rockland. Saturday is Clean-Up Day at 10:00 a.m. and you’re invited for a clean-up along Union Street and the Rail Trail. Lunch will be available at noon after the clean-up on the lawn at Rockland Memorial Library, which includes the grand reveal of the Sole of Rockland Placemaking Project. On Sunday at 11:00 a.m. take part in the Bulldog Pride Dog walk through the newly-cleaned trail – with your pup! The walk will start at the Senior Center, proceed to Lower Reed, Division, Belmont, Union and then loop back to the Senior Center via the Rail Trail. Rockland Blue and Bulldog Pride attire is encouraged!

Saturday, September 22:

Weir River Farm in Hingham is hosting their annual Fall Festival today from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Come celebrate the fall harvest season with some good old-fashioned fun at one of the last working farms in Hingham. Grab your friends and family and visit the farm animals, climb aboard a tractor, paint your own pumpkin, learn about beekeeping and how to press apple cider. Challenge your friends at the potato spoon, and make sure to enjoy a HKS Clydesdales wagon ride tour of the property! While you are at the event, be sure to stop by Weir River Farm Market to purchase some beef, pork, lamb or chicken raised right on the farm. There are old-fashioned games like tug-o-war, crafts, face-painting, farm tattoos, and live music. All this activity will surely have you hungry – visit the food court where you will find food from Rolling Roost Food Truck and Away Cafe. While the kids enjoy lemonade, grab a local beer from Zeluz Brewking to enjoy while you listen to the live music. And leave room for dessert! Hornstra Farms ice cream will also be available. Admission includes everything except food, beverages, and wagon rides. This event runs rain or shine. Admission fee is per family. The Pembroke Pumpkin Festival takes places on the Town Green today from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. This fundraiser for Pembroke Titans against Drugs features the Re/Max hot air balloon, face painting, balloon animals, obstacle course slide, bounce houses, games, the pumpkin patch and so much more.


Historic O’Neil Farm in Duxbury is hosting their free Farm Day today in partnership with the Duxbury Food and Wine Festival from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. There will be music and food, along with milking demos, butter making activities, kids’ crafts and old-fashioned races!


Head to the Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuary in Plymouth for a Harvest Moon Hike from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. this evening where you can help welcome autumn with a relaxing night time stroll. Once dusk has settled over the marsh you’ll let the moon light your way, with Morgyn Ellis, education coordinator, as you occasionally stop, look and listen for creatures that awaken with the setting of the sun. You will slow your pace and heighten your sense to experience the sanctuary under the cover of darkness. The cost is $5 for adult members and $7 for children members; $7 for adult non-members of the Mass Audubon and $7 for kid non-members. Sunday, September 23:Daniel Webster Estate in Marshfield hosts a family Victorian tea today from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. The Family Tea is a lovely generational opportunity for grandparents, parents and children to come together to start a new family tradition. The Children’s Museum in Boston costs $1 to enter Fridays from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.! Current exhibits include Explore-a-Saurus where you can assume the role of scientist and explore the evidence, the science and the features that make dinosaurs so compelling. You can touch and measure a fossil footprint and learn what clues it gives about a dinosaur’s size. You can manipulate a full-size model and learn how they moved and rearrange bone puzzles to learn about dinosaur anatomy.
