A man and his two dogs were rescued after their pickup truck went over a guardrail and landed in a river in East Bridgewater.
The crash happened yesterday (Wednesday) morning just before four.
Police and fire officials say a Boston man was driving his pickup on Pleasant Street near North Central Street when it failed to negotiate a curve, veered off the road, went over a guardland, and plunged into the Matfield River.
The pickup landed on its side.
Firefighters from the Plymouth County Technical Rescue Team used a stokes basket to remove the man from the river.
He was taken to South Shore Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police and firefighters worked together to remove the two dogs.
They were taken to the Weymouth VCA Hospital for treatment.
The crash is under investigation.
