A Plymouth Police Officer has been placed on leave.
Police Chief Dana Flynn says that on March 17 they were notified by the Massachusetts State Police of a criminal investigation involving the off-duty conduct of Officer Samantha Pelrine.
Officer Pelrine was then placed on administrative leave with pay “in accordance with department policy and procedure.”
Flynn says a departmental internal investigation is underway to determine the facts and circumstances of Officer Pelrine’s alleged conduct adding that “Violations of department policy or state law will not be tolerated.”
Flynn says that due to the active and ongoing nature of the investigation, no further details are being provided at this time and that any further inquiries should be directed to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
