A water main break on Central Avenue in Humarock has been reported.
Scituate town officials say service in the area will be disrupted for the next 6 to 8 hours.
Residents are urged to take caution and check water for discoloration.
In addition, they say to allow water to be flushed before using and check before doing laundry.
