Meet our Pet of the Week, Lucy

Lucy is a 1-year-old spayed female mixed breed. She was found as a stray. She was emaciated and anemic. Lucy has almost doubled her weight and her bloodwork has improved dramatically. Lucy loves people that she meets at the shelter. Lucy loves to play tug and chase fun toys around the yard. And oftentimes she just wants to roll around on her back and receive belly rubs! She is currently with our friends at Milton Animal League – Animal Shelter.

The shelter is a controlled, safe environment where we set the animals up for success. Every positive experience builds trust and confidence. Lucy can be nervous around other dogs. This is based in fear. We are working on doing walks with her shelter buddy Ralphie. Lucy should be signed up for a good basic obedience or reactive dog class to continue this work. We can recommend one.
