Meet Rastro, a 7-year-old Shepherd who is looking for a cozy home to spend the remainder of his life. He has always been kept in a small kennel outdoors and was used for breeding, so he has a lot to learn about living in a home say our friends at Scituate Animal Shelter. He is looking for a home without small animals/small dogs or young children. He has never been around children or small animals and we think he would do best in a home without. He is a sweet sweet gentle boy who is a shy guy. He will likely get along well with a large female dog but he doesn’t seem as big of a fan of male dogs. He walks very nicely on a leash, and he loves his walks and one on one attention but does take a little while to come out of his shy shell. He would do best in a home where someone understands that he needs time and patience to decompress. If he is left home alone, it’s possible that he is going to chew doors, and try whatever he needs to do to get outside, because he’s never been in a home before.
