The Fore River Residents Against the Compressor Station, or FRRACS, are begging Governor Charlie Baker to stop construction at the North Weymouth site amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
President of FRRACS, Alice Arena, says they circulated a petition, which got over 2,000 signatures, after witnessing multiple violations of the public health guidelines currently in place.
The petition circulated online and people from all over the state signed it echoing the groups concerns.
The group is hoping this petition will urge Governor Baker to deem the project non-essential and stop construction on the compressor station at the Fore River Bridge.
