Residents of Plymouth’s White Horse Beach have complained about out-of-towners not respecting their neighborhood for decades. They say they’re subjected to cars parked on lawns, public drunkenness, and lewd behavior. They’ve proposed a radical step – treat their streets the same as beach parking lots. Wednesday night, the Plymouth Select Board agreed to make the streets subject to the town’s beach permit program. That means, residents will have to buy a $50 beach sticker to park on the street during the summer. The select board could not agree on how the program should treat visitor passes. The parking committee will return with new details in six weeks.
