by | Sep 22, 2020

WATD hosted a political forum Monday night with the two candidates for the first Plymouth House of Representative district. Incumbent Republican Matt Muratore formerly served as a Plymouth Selectman and first went to the statehouse in 2014.

His Democratic challenger, Stephen Michael Palmer, has served as town meeting representative in Braintree and Plymouth. He’s currently the chair of the Plymouth Redevelopment Authority.

The candidates for the first Plymouth District were asked about police reform. Specifically, which part of the proposed law they support – enhanced training, police certification, ending the shield against lawsuits. Here’s Democratic challenger Stephen Michael Palmer.

Here’s Republican incumbent Matthew Muratore.

The 1st Plymouth District lies entirely within the Town of Plymouth.
