Rockland Boy Injured After Falling From Ski Lift

A Rockland boy was hospitalized after falling from a ski lift.
Canton Fire officials say that shortly before 4:30 p.m. Monday they responded to the Blue Hills Ski Area on Washington St. for a report that a 7-year-old boy fell approximately 35 feet from a ski lift and sustained serious injuries.
The Blue Hills Ski Area ski patrol extricated the boy from where he fell and provided medical care on scene before Canton Fire paramedics took over.
A medical helicopter was requested and the boy was taken to Boston Children’s Hospital.
Officials say that although his injuries are serious, they are not believed to be life threatening.
