A Lifeguard Mock Training Drill will be taking place in Scituate Wednesday afternoon.
Town officials say the Recreation Department, Harbormaster, Fire & Police Departments will be performing the annual mock training drill with the Scituate Lifeguard Staff on Peggotty Beach.
The drill is expected to take place around 2:30 p.m.
Officials emphasize this is only a drill of a potential real-life situation.
