An arrest has been made in connection with a Saturday night shooting in Milton that left a 25-year-old man dead.

Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey and Milton Police Chief John King announced that 21-year-old Myles King of Milton was arrested for the murder of Marquis Simmons.

Authorities say Simmons was shot at about 6 p.m. shortly after he had dismounted his moped in the area of Belvoir Rd.

He was taken to Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

Morrissey says King was arrested Sunday at the Milton Police station on a murder warrant issued out of Quincy District Court.

King is expected to be arraigned in Quincy District Court on Monday.
