A man is in custody following an hours-long standoff in Holbrook.
Police say that at around 11 a.m. Monday officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant on 31-year-old Noah R. Hennessey, who subsequently barricaded himself inside a home at 21 Union St.
A perimeter was established and people from nearby homes were evacuated while mutual aid was requested from the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council (MetroLEC) and Massachusetts State Police.
Police say a female who was in the home escaped unharmed out a back window before the situation was brought to a peaceful resolution and Hennessey was taken into custody.
Hennessey is being charged with Kidnapping and Resisting Arrest and is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Quincy District Court.
He was also arrested on six outstanding warrants from Plymouth and Norfolk counties.
