A man accused of breaking into several homes and stealing cash, firearms, and jewelry, including replicas of New England Patriots championship rings, is behind bars with no bail.
Brockton Police say multiple burglaries were reported in March and April.
An investigation identified 22-year-old Melvin Arias-Brown as the man behind a string of burglaries on the city’s north side, a search warrant was executed at his home.
The search recovered three stolen loaded guns and ammunition at his residence.
Police say the weapons were not correctly stored and were accessible to children in the house and the suspect’s mother and stepfather were charged with child endangerment and weapons offenses.
Several jewelry pieces were also found at Arias-Brown’s residence and a pawn shop where he sold some of the items.
The stolen goods were worth tens of thousands of dollars.
Massachusetts State Police located the suspect in Fall River and arrested him with a loaded gun stolen out of Avon in his possession.
Rhode Island State Police, Westport Police, and Avon Police also assisted in the investigation.
