Local police departments and professional hockey players will be taking to the ice for a cause, tonight in Braintree.
It’s the fourth Hold the Line Hockey game, with proceeds going to an emergency fund for first responders.
Nik Tasiopoulos started the foundation, they’ve raised about $75,000 since the first event.
Proceeds go to an emergency fund for first responders. Last year, they supported the Braintree Police Department after officers were wounded, and K9 Kitt was shot and killed.
The rosters include Vegas Golden Knights star Jack Eichel, Ryan Donato, a former member of the Bruins, Colin White of Hanover, and Brian Boyle of Hingham.
Tasiopoulos was asked about his favorite part of the event.
For many of the officers, this an event they look forward to.
Doors for the event open at 5 p.m. — the puck drops at 7 p.m. at the Thayer Sports Center in Braintree.
