A Quincy man was sentenced in federal court in Boston on Wednesday, after being found guilty for receiving and possessing child pornography.
The U.S Attorney’s Office says 29-year-old Andre Tilahun was sentenced to six years in prison, as well as five years of supervision by the U.S District Court Judge Patti B. Saris.
In April 2021, Tilahun’s home was searched, and 250 images were found on his phone, and 350 on his computer.
During the investigation, it was found that Tilahun used social media chatroom platforms such as Kik to obtain the images.
Tilahun was found guilty on one count of receipt and one count of possession of child pornography.
