**Cape Cod Canal has since reopened.**
Marine traffic on the Cape Cod Canal was suspended due to right whales.
The Coast Guard says that the Army Corps of Engineers closed the canal to all vessel traffic, due to the spotting of three right whales.
At this time there is no official word as to when the canal will reopen.
