One Killed In Middleborough Crash

One person was killed following a head on crash in Middleborough.
Police Chief Joseph Perkins and Fire Chief Owen Thompson say that at approximately 1:30 p.m. Friday crews responded to Route 28 in the area of Cushman St. and Rocky Gutter St. for a report of a head-on crash.
Upon arrival they found a delivery truck and an SUV that had collided and subsequently caught fire.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital, where the driver of the SUV died from their injuries.
There were no other passengers in either vehicle.
The incident remains under investigation by Middleborough Police and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
