Marshfield Police say they were called to the scene of a bus stop in front of the Village Apartments at Marshfield on Route 139 after two fathers got into an altercation Wednesday morning.
Paul Grant, a Shift Manager at the nearby Starbucks, spoke with WATD News.
School Superintendent Jeffrey Granatino says they were informed of the incident at approximately 8:15 a.m. which took place roughly one-half mile down the road from the Marshfield High School/Furnace Brook Middle School/Marshfield Elementary School complex.
He says students and staff “remained in the Shelter In Place for approximately 25 minutes and then they resumed the regular school schedule when advised by police the situation was under control and there was no longer any threat.”
Jenna Harding lives in the apartment complex and was among the parents waiting at the bus stop after the school day ended.
Marshfield Police tell WATD News crews were searching the area for any possible evidence.
