Road closures remain in effect as crews battle a brush fire at The Blue Hills Reservation.
Milton, Randolph, and Canton Fire responded and other towns also providing mutual aid near the Houghton’s Pond area.
The Department of Conservation and Recreation says the closure extends from the three-way stop sign at Blue Hill River Road to the intersection of Unquity Road and Chickatawbut Road.
In addition the main lot at Houghton’s Pond remains closed along with lots B and C to ensure the safety of crews at the scene.
The fire which is approximately 40 acres has been burning since Monday afternoon.
Officials say lingering smoke will remain in the area.
