An investigation is underway following a shooting in Easton.
Police Chief Keith Boone says that at approximately 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, they responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at an apartment complex on Robert Dr.
Officers arrived on scene to find a teenage female suffering from a gunshot wound, the suspects had already fled the scene.
The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, before being medflighted to a Boston hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
Chief Boone says that they believe that this was an isolated incident and not a random act of violence and that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
The incident remains under investigation by Easton Police and Massachusetts State Police.
