South Shore July Fourth Celebrations

The South Shore joins the nation celebrating July Fourth with parades and fireworks.

A few towns hold celebrations before the Fourth.

Weymouth’s Night Before the Fourth celebration begins at 5 p.m. Thursday at George Lane Beach with food trucks and music. Fireworks are at 9:30 p.m.

Randolph will hold its Night Before the Fourth parade on Thursday night at 7 p.m. It begins at the Higashi School and goes down North Main Street and concludes at Crawford Square. Fireworks go off at 9 p.m. at Randolph High School.

Cohasset’s Independence Day celebration is Wednesday night at Sandy Beach. It begins at 6 p.m. and concludes with fireworks.

On Friday, July Fourth, several towns are having events.  

The Plymouth Fourth of July parade begins at 9 a.m. at Cordage Park. There will be food trucks on the waterfront during the day until the conclusion of the fireworks. The Plymouth Philharmonic concert is at 7:30 p.m. at the DCR Pilgrim Memorial Park. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. at DCR Pilgrim Memorial Park.

Hingham’s parade begins at 10 a.m. at Hingham High School and proceeds down Main Street through Hingham Square and ends at Station Street.

Duxbury will hold its annual July Fourth parade at 2 p.m. It starts at Hall’s Corner.

Bridgwater’s July Fourth parade begins at 9 a.m. on Grove Street. Fireworks are at 9:30 p.m. at Legion Field. 

Quincy 400 will host its Maritime Festival at Marina Bay beginning at 3 p.m. to celebrate the city’s 400th anniversary. The Squantum July Fourth parade begins at 10 a.m. at Huckins Avenue and East Squantum Street.
