A rollover crash in Hanover left 13 people injured.

The Hanover Fire Department and Hanover Police Department issued a joint statement saying that shortly after 11:30 a.m. Thursday numerous 911 calls reported a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Webster St. (Route 123) and Juniper Ln.

Upon arrival first responders found a two-vehicle collision involving a transport van carrying multiple occupants and a four-door sedan.

The two vehicles both sustained “moderate to significant damage” and the van was laying on its side.

A Level 1 Mass Casualty Incident was declared due to the number of individuals involved, and nine ambulances were called to the scene.

All thirteen patients were transported to area hospitals for further evaluation.

Abington, Hanson, Hingham, Norwell, Rockland, and Whitman provided mutual aid.

The incident remains under investigation.
