An arraignment was held on Friday for a Middleborough man accused of fatally stabbing his mother’s partner.

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office says that on the evening of June 28, Middleborough Police received multiple 911 calls for a report of a fight and a man stabbed at a residence on Fairview Street.

Upon arrival first responders found 66-year-old Paul Pomerleau suffering from multiple stab wounds.

He was transported to Morton Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

An investigation determined that Pomerleau got into an argument with 41-year-old Andrew Horsman over a steak dinner.

The District Attorney’s Office says Pomerleau was in a long term relationship with Horsman’s mother.

Horsman was taken into custody without incident and pleaded not guilty to one count of Murder in Brockton Superior Court, where he was ordered held without bail.
