Crews responded to a two-alarm fire at a Randolph apartment complex.
Fire officials say that at around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday firefighters were called to 20 Liberty Place for a report of a fire in the building.
Upon arrival crews saw heavy smoke coming from a second-floor window and initiated an interior attack to contain the fire to a single apartment unit on the second floor.
Officials say four additional units in the building sustained smoke and water damage.
The building’s occupants evacuated the apartment building before firefighters arrived and no injuries were reported.
However, seven residents were displaced.
Holbrook, Milton, Avon and Braintree provided mutual aid while Weymouth, Stoughton and Quincy provided station coverage.
Crews from Weymouth, Stoughton and Quincy were also called to 187 Oak St. reporting smoke.
Firefighters arrived on scene and found a large pot of food burning on the stove.
Officials say the building was evacuated safely, and crews removed the pot and ventilated the home with no injuries being reported.
