Absentee voting begins Monday in Marshfield ahead of a special override election seeking funding to replace the Martinson Elementary School roof.

The override election has been scheduled for January 10th.

Officials say the school roof is in need of immediate replacement.

The town will be reimbursed by the state for nearly half the $7.4 million dollar project.

Absentee voting is available at Marshfield Town Hall during regular business hours from now through Friday, January 9th.

Registered voters can also vote by mail.

The Marshfield override election is set for Saturday, January 10th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the high school.

The fall town meeting approved the project.
